By definition, the “Old Fashioned” jerky is a drier, tougher-style jerky. It’s actually inspired by recipes and a handmade process that dates back to the 1920s. Additionally, there are a couple reasons for the drier texture.
- There is no added sugar, corn syrups, or artificial ingredients that are often used to soften more commercial style jerky.
- Secondly, we employ a traditional, handmade process that dries the jerky to a level that doesn’t need preservatives or nitrates to keep it shelf stable.
- Lastly and more importantly we have a lot of customers that love that extra dry style.
